يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن أبو الريحان البيروني حيث يعد أول من بسط وشرح ظاهرة المد والجزر كما كتب ما يقرب من مائة وخمسين كتابا في علوم مختلفة وتجمعت لدي البيروني معلومات جغرافية كثيرة وضعها في كتاب سماه نهاية الأماكن كما قام بترجمة اثنين وعشرين كتابا إلي اللغة العربية ويعد أيضا أبا الصيدلة العربية في العالم الإسلامي فقد كتب عن الصيدلة كتبا عديدة وسجل فيها الكثيرا من فوائد النباتات الطبية والعقاقير الأدوية.
