هذا الكتاب واقع حقيقي تعايش معه الشاعر فايق عبد الجليل حيث قام بحوره البطولي أثناء إحتلال الكويت عام 1990م، وكذلك يبين الكتاب معاناة أسرة الشاعر أثناء الغزو وعودتها لتراب الوطن في مارس 1991م مع فرح مشوب بالحزن والألم لفقدان الأب الشاعر بعد أسرة من قبل النظام المحامي ثم استشهاده من أجل وطن أحبه.
