هذا الكتاب وثائقي خاص بتاريخ مدينة سامراء في العهد العثماني الأخير وقد تناول الكتاب بالجمع والترجمة العديد من الوثائق التي تنشر لأول مرة والتي تتعلق بأوقاف سامراء الشيعية منها والسنية وسيما ما يخص منها العتبة العسكرية المشرفة كما رفد الكتاب بخرائط عثمانية ظهرت فيها مدينة سامراء وتوابعها كما تناول العديد من الوثائق التي تخص حقبة السيد المجدد الميرزا الشيرازي (قدس سره) وما تلتها من أحداث ومواقف لمراجع الدين.
