الكتاب يضم نحو 140 قصيدة مختارة من دواوين الشاعر البولندي تشيسواف ميووش وتتضمن المختارات 12 ديوانا أصدرها الشاعر طوال حياته التي امتدت لأكثر من تسعين عاما بالإضافة إلى بعض القصائد المتناثرة التي كان لها وقع خاص في حياة الشاعر وذكرياته بدءا من ديوانه الأول (قصائد شعرية عن الزمن الساكن) الصادر في عام 1933 وانتهاء بدواوينه الشعرية المتتابعة التي اختتم بها حياته المديدة.
