يعرض الكتاب مجموعة من الخرائط التاريخية في الفترة الزمنية 1595-1840 م والتي تم ترتيبها زمنيا وفق الموضوعات التالية خرائط للقطر المصري والتي يوجد منها 27 خريطة وخرائط لمصر في حيز جغرافي أوسع يظهر في مصر والنوبة والحبشة وإجماليها 6 خرائط تليها خرائط شمال إفريقيا والقارة الإفريقية بأكملها حيث تتمثل في 8 خرائط وأخيرا الخرائط التي تبين مصر ضمن الأمبراطوريات القديمة وتعرض في 8 خرائط.
