هذا الكتاب محاولة ورؤية قراءة النص الحديث في ديوان الشعر السوداني الحديث ممثلا في ديوان \"هل انت حي\" و\"الصقر يعلو وحده\" و\"ديوان الليل وألوان أخرى \" بجانب قصيدة \"ملوك حجار\" وإننا إذ نقوم بدراسة قصائد ديوان \"هل أنت حي مقتنعون تماما بضرورة تجسيد مضامين العنوان الذي وضعه الشاعر لجموعته هذه وربطه بالقصيدة الأولى والثانية من واقع قراءتنا التأنية والعميقة للقصائد الثلاث مجتمعه لأنها ما هي في الحقيقة إلا قصيدة واحدة طويلة تعددت فيها الرؤى وتنوعت فيها بنية الخطاب الشعري بين الجمل القصيرة أحيانا والطويلة أحيانا أخرى.
