يتناول الكتاب مجموعة من الدراسات التي تدرس جهود بعض الدول العربية في تطوير أو تعديل أو إعادة بناء دساتيرها، إثر الانتفاضات التي بدأت أواخر عام 2010، مسلطة الضوء على التحديات والأزمات الدستورية والطرق المختلفة في معالجتها. لقد عانت الدول العربية منذ أول دستور عربي في تونس عام 1861 من أزمات دستورية، يمكن تلخيصها بإنشاء دساتير منفصلة عن تطلعات المواطنين، بحيث اتخذت طابعا أيديولوجيا تعكسه الحقبة التاريخية التي وضعت فيها.
