يتناول كتاب (مناظر من ظفار) والذي قام بتأليفه محمد بن الزبير في حوالي (202) صفحة من القطع الكبير وهو الإصدار الثاني من سلسة عمان .. بلادي الجميلة موضوع (ظفار)، يتناول الكتاب والذي يغطي كافة مناطق محافظة ظفار بصور نادرة وملونة، تكشف التراث العماني العريق من التاريخ القديم لها والطبيعة الساحرة وحياة الإنسان في هذه المحافظة، والكتاب دليل سياحي يتناول كل المعالم الأثرية والتاريخية بها لخدمة السياحة في السلطنة. حيث انتقل المؤلف بعدسته من المكان إلى الزمان، قاصدا التأكيد على أن الزمان يعد عاملا حاسما في تشكيل المكان وهيئته. ومن ثم وقع الاختيار على مناظر من ظفار إبان فصل الخريف لما فيه من كسر لقاعدة الموت والانتهاء المرتبطة بهذا الفصل. لذا كان اختيار المؤلف لفصل الخريف في ظفار موفقا من خلال إيضاحه لتدرجات اللون الأخضر على الجبال، وعبر التنوع التشكيلي لمختلف الألوان في الزهور والورود بكل ما فيهما من اختلاف واتساق.
