هذا الكتاب الواقع في ثلاثة مجلدات يعد من أهم تأليف الشيخ \"عبد الرازق البيطار\"، صنفه لترجمة رجال القرن الثالث عشر وذكر فيه المشاهير وغيرهم، وقد اشتمل على فوائد وفرائد، كتبه مؤلفه في أدوار من عهود شبابه وكهولته وشيخوخته وقد استدرك صاحبه على كثير من كتب التراجم فسيجد القارئ ما لا يجده في غيره من كتب المصنفين، وقد آثر حفيد المؤلف نشرة كاملا دون تصرف فيه بزيادة أو نقص أو تغيير إظهارا للفائدة.
