تبدأ أحداث الرواية من خاتم الملك سليمان الذي كتب عليه من الملك سليمان الى بلقيس تضعه سليلة الملوك (مجيدة) في يد أحد الأجانب البيض كعلامة حقيقية على وجود الملكة في أدغال إفريقيا لكن في حالة صراع مع قبائل الفنج التي تهدد وجودها يحملون الأجانب رحالهم لمساعدة سليلة الملوك مقابل كنوز الملك سليمان واسترجاع أخ لإحدى الشخصيات الذي أسره قبائل الفنج صغيرا، تحاك الرواية في إطار شائق بين حرب، وتهديد، وخيانات، يستمر الكاتب بجذب القارئ حتى النهاية غير المتوقعة ! يتخلل الرواية قصة حب تشنأ بينها وبين أحد الأجانب الذي يلقب بالكابتن.
