الكتاب يتناول مذكرات مذيعة التلفزيون الأولى عايدة سالم الكبتي، الفتاة الموظفة بالمكتبة الفنية بالإذاعة عام 1965 ميلادي، ذات الخمسة عشر ربيعا تقدمت برغبتها ودخلت اختبارا لتصبح مذيعة، فقد المعيل الأب سيجعلها وشقيقتها تتحملان مسؤولية العمل المبكر رفقة مقعد الدراسة، هي من الجيل الثاني الذي لحق بالإذاعة المسموعة وفي المذكرات أحاديث حول مقابلاتها لشخصيات مثل المطربة نجاة الصغيرة التي رفضت أن يجري الحوار معها رجل وبعض من طرف ومواقف الفنانين وقصص لشخصيات مميزة كملكة ليبيا ولرئيس الوزراء الشاعر عبدالحميد البكوش.
