هناك أشياء تميز بها الرضي عن غيره من النحاة وذلك يظهر من خلال شرحه للكافية، فقد تميز شرحه بالاتساع وقد ذكر فيه الرضي أحكاما لم يذكرها صاحب الكافية نفسه واستطرد فيه استطرادا واسعا، تهدف الرسالة إلى دراسة آراء الرضى النحوية في شرح الكافية وبيان منزلتها وقيمتها بين آراء غيره من النحاة وبيان أثرها في الدراسات النحوية وقد تم تقسيم الدراسة إلى ما يلي : مقدمة وتمهيد تحدث فيها عن صاحب المتن ابن الحاجب، شارح الرضى الاستراباذي ثم عن المصادر التي استقى منها الرضى مادة شرحه للكافية ثم عن مذهبه النحوي. الفصل الأول : الفصائل النحوية : كفصيلة الجنس والزمن والعدد ؛ الفصل الثاني : الجملة الإسمية ؛ الفصل الثالث : شبه الجملة ويشمل الظروف وحروف الجر ؛ الفصل الرابع : الجملة الفعلية : ترتيبها فعل ما لم يسم فاعله وجزم المضارع ونصبه ؛ الفصل الخامس : طرائق تفسير المعنى : الناحية البلاغية والحذف والتضمين ؛ الفصل السادس : الترابع التوكيد والعطف والبدل.
