يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الوسيط في شرح قانون الإجراءات الجزائية العماني حيث وفقا للإجراءات الجزائية العادية يتم رفع الدعوى العمومية من قبل الإدعاء العام إلى المحكمة المختصة ويكلف المتهم وباقي الأطراف بالحضور أمامها وعندها تبدأ مرحلة إجراءات جديدة في الوضع القانوني للمتهم وتتمثل في إجراءات المحاكمة وما يترتب على نهايتها من أحكام ثم نشوء حق الطعن فيها وقبل ذلك جواز الإشكال في تنفيذها وإذا كانت تلك الإجراءات تتعلق بالمتهم من حيث الأساس باعتباره الشخص الذي كان لسلوكه الأثر في بدء تلك الإجراءات واستمرارها فإن لها صلة أيضا بالأطراف الآخرين سواء من كان منهم في الدعوى العمومية أو المدنية ولو كان ذلك بدرجات وحقوق وآثار مختلفة.
