يهدف الكتاب إلى توضيح معالم النيابة العامة الشرعية في قانون أصول المحاكمات الشرعية الأردني ولتحقيق ذلك اتبع الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي وتوصل الكتاب إلى مجموعة من الاستنتاجات أهمها \"أن مشاهدة الدعاوى من قبل النيابة العامة لا تكون إلا بناء على طلبها\" سواء كانت طرفا أصليا أم طرفا منضما ويتعين على المحكمة إجابة الطلب ولا مانع من طلب النيابة العامة مشاهدة ملف الدعوى حتى قبل فصلها، إذا طال أمد الدعوى وأرادت النيابة العامة الاطلاع على بعض الإجراءات لتقديم الرأي في مسألة معينة أو لكتابة المرافعة الختامية في الدعوى.
