يتناول الكتاب أنسنة الطبيعة في الشعر الجاهلي حيث قد غدا مصطلح الأنسنة أحد المصطلحات الأدبية والنقدية التي أقرها مؤخرا مجمع اللغة العربية في القاهرة نقلا عن الترجمة الإنكليزية (Humanize) أو (Humane) وفحواه بإيجاز من يخلع عليه صفة بشرية أو يمثله في صورة بشرية أو يعدله ليلائم الطبيعة البشرية بكلمة أخرى تعني (الأنسنة) إنزال غير العاقل من الحيوان أو النبات أو الجماد أو المعاني المجردة منزلة العاقل نطقا وصورة وحركة أي يغدو غير العاقل إنسانا أو على صورة إنسان.
