يتناول كتاب (فؤاد الأول) والذي قام بتأليفه محمد صبيح في حوالي (170) صفحة من القطع المتوسط موضوع (فؤاد الأول)، فالكتاب اعتمد على مصدرين : أولهما معلومات الرجال الموثوق فيهم. وثانيهما : بطون الكتب والمذكرات. أما الرجال الموثوق فيهم فقد تحدث معه المؤلف ويعلم الجميع أنهم خير من عرف الملك فؤاد، أما الكتب والمذكرات فإن الهام منها قليل ومع هذا فأهميته ليست محل شك، وقد رجع في الإنجليزية إلى مؤلفات منلر وكرومر ولرد ليد، وهي أشبه بالوثائق التي تمثل وجهة نظر الجانب البريطاني، فهذا الكتاب مليء بالأسرار وبخفايا كواليس أحداث ولحظات هامة في تاريخ مصر فترة حكم الملك فؤاد.
