يتناول هذا الكتاب رحلة تاريخية لسمو الشيخ أحمد الجابر الصباح حيث يعد عهد الشيخ أحمد الجابر الصباح -رحمه الله- من أكثر العهود التي شهدت فيها الكويت نهضة واسعة في مختلف مناحي الحياة ففي عهده أنشئت بلدية الكويت وازداد الاهتمام بالتعليم والصحة وفي عهده تم أيضا التوقيع على اتفاقية امتياز التنقيب عن النفط وتصدير أول شحنة منه بالإضافة إلى كثير من الأحداث السياسية المهمة التي عاشتها الكويت وسجلت جهوده في صيانة استقلالها والمحافظة على حدودها.
