القصة واقعية عن أميرة عثمانية في فترة هذا تبدأ مسيرة طويلة لتلك الأميرة المخذولة (سلمى) من اسطنبول والقدس والهند والنهاية الفاجعة في باريس في فترة الحرب العالمية الثانية لكن هذه الأميرة التركية ذات التوجه الأوروبي في حياتها والتي ارتحلت مع أمها وخادمها أو بالأحرى خصيها (زينل) ذي البشرة الشقراء والعينين الخضراوين هذه الأميرة المتمردة بكل معنى الكلمة والتي تذكرنا بالأميرة العمانية (سالمة) هي التي ستسرد وقائع حياتها التي لا يمكن اختزالها بسهولة يكفي أن نشير بشكل عام الى حياتها في بيروت أواخر الثلاثينات وبداية الأربعينات وانخراطها في جو الانفتاح والاختلاط مع العائلات البيروتية العريقة هناك ستتعرف عن كثب على مؤسس وزعيم الحزب القومي السوري أنطون سعادة ثم تصبح بعد ذلك محط أنظار المجتمع البيروتي.
