هذا الكتاب يحدثنا المؤلف الدكتور يوسف زيدان عن الفكر الصوفي لدى عبدالكريم الجيلي ومدى الاختلاف والاتفاق بينه وبين كبار الصوفيين، ويبدأ الكتاب بالباب الأول عن عدبالكريم الجيلي والذي يستعرض لنا حياته واسمه ولقبه ومولده ونشأته وشخصيته، وأساتذته ومعاصروه، وأسلوبه ومؤلفاته. ثم الباب الثاني من الكتاب بعنوان: الإنسان الكامل، يحدثنا عن الإنسان الكامل عند الجيلي، ومراتب أهل الغيب، ومرتبة الإنسان الكامل، وعلاقته بالحق وبالخلق، والإنسان الكامل بين الجيلي والصوفية، وهنا يحدثنا عن رؤية ابن عربي والسهروردي وابن سبعين، ثم يتناول أصول ومصادر نظرية الإنسان الكامل. وفي الباب الثالث من الكتاب يتناول مسألة الوحدة والحلول والاتحاد عند الجيلي، وعند كبار الصوفيين.
