تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على محددات واقع المجتمع العراقي، على مختلف الأصعدة وإعادة تأهيل المجتمع ما بعد النزاع. أما إشكالية الدراسة التي تقع في 344 صفحة من القطع الكبير فتنطلق من مدى قدرة وقابلية الحكومات العراقية على تنفيذ سياسات ناجعة علمية مدروسة لإعادة تأهيل المجتمع، ما بعد النزاع لتحقيق الاستقرار الداخلي. ويتألف الكتاب من مقدمة وثلاثة فصول فضلا عن الخاتمة والاستنتاجات في الجوانب السياسية والأمنية والاجتماعية والثقافية، حيث قدم المؤلف مقترحات أو أولويات لإعادة تأهيل المجتمع العراقي بعد مرحلة النزاع ولاسيما بعد دحر تنظيم داعش الذي صادف أن العراق أحيا الاحتفال به يوم 10 كانون الأول الجاري.
