في البداية يتحدث عبدالسلام ضعيف عن فترة مهمة في تاريخ افغانستان وهي اجتياح روسيا بافكارها الشيوعية لبلده، ذهابه للحرب في سن الخامسة عشر مع المجاهدين الذين يؤمنون بخطر الافكار الشيوعية على بلاده ولو اطلعنا على بلاده في تلك الفترة سنعلم ماهي الاخطار التي اعلنت الحرب، وبعد سنوات من الحرب والقتال تنسحب روسيا وتترك لهم البلد وبما ان النظام في افغانستان قبلي نراهم يتقسمون كلا في منطقته ويقتل ابن بلده، يسلبه يسرق امواله، هم نفسهم المسلمون المجاهدون الذين حاربوا لاجل بلدهم.
