Overview
تقتضي طبيعة الاقتصاد العاصر، زيادة حجم المشروعات، لتتلائم مع الظروف الدولية المعاصرة بتكلفة منخفضة، وجوده عالية، والتي تقتضي إنتاجا عمليات الإنتاج والإدارية والمحاسبة. وقد عززت مرحلة الكساد الطويلة التي يرم بها الاقتصاد العالمي من هذا الاتجاه حيث كان على المشروعات المهددة بالإفلاس أن تتحد مع بعضها البعض. وقد أدى ذلك إلى تعقيد مهمة المدقق فصار من وأكبر حجما لنتحول إلى مشروعات أقل عددا المستحيل أن يتمكن هو وفريق العمل من إعادة العمليات المحاسبية بالتفصيل إذ أنها لم تعد مائلة أمامه في السجلات الورقية، بل يتم تشغيلها داخل الحواسيب المعقدة، وإن ضخامتها وتقيدها يحتاج إلى وقت طويل ويترك أثره على فاتورة التدقيق ذات التكلفة الباهظة أصلا.
