أن جمعت مادة البحث في فصول ثلاثة اختص الأول منها بدراسة الأحوال السياسية لإمارة الشارقة من عام 1914 وإلى عام 1924 ويتألف الفصل من أربعة مباحث، وتناولت ملامح الإمارة الجغرافية والبناء القلبي التاريخي للقواسم، فقد عرضنا لأصل القواسم، وتأريخ ظهورهم، والقبائل المنضوية تحت لوائهم، وظروف تشكيلهم لإمارتهم، وشيوخهم، وأهم أعمالهم، كما تناول الفصل النفوذ البريطاني في الخليج العربي قبل الحرب العالمية الأولى وبعدها، متطرقا للجهود البريطانية التي ارتأت إبعاد أي نفوذ أجنبي غير نفوذها في المنطقة.
