كتبت هذه الأحاديث عن المرأة المسلمة في مجتمعنا لتوضيح للذين يغشى رؤاهم في بعض قضايا المرأة غبش يشوه الرؤية الجلية للإسلام تجاهلها وخاصة أنني ممن تربطهم علاقات كثيرة بغير المسلمين الذين يحكوم قصصا عن ممارستنا الإجتماعية ويتندرون بها على أنه تمثل شيئا من معتقداتنا، فلم يكن بد من أن أوضح الحقيقة لهم وأبعد سوء الفهم الذي عندهم مؤكدا أنه ليس من ثوابت ديننا الحقيقي هذه الإجتهادات الشخصية التي يأتي بها بعض المسلمين يلزمون الآخرين بها. وهنا أوضح الكتاب أمورا أولها: أن معظم ما في هذا الإصدار هو ما إحتوتة مقالاتي الصحفية الأسبوعية حول المرأة في مجتمعنا المسلم والتي لم أتلق أي إعتراض على ماجاء فيها.
