التصور الإسلامي لحقيقة الإنسان، تصور وسطي بين تصورات كثيرة ومختلفة قديمة وحديثة، فالإنسان في التصور الإسلامي روح ومادة، جسد ونفس، ولك واحد منهما خصائص ومقومات يرتكز عليها، وقد أشار القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية المطهرة إلى هذه الخصائص التي منحه الله إياها للقيام بمهمة الخلافة في الأرض، وتحقيق الهدف الرباني من هذا الوجود للإنسان على سطح البسيطة. وحين وهب الله الإنسان هذه الخصائص : من نفس تواقة، وعقل مفكر، وجسد متحرك، فإنه جل وعلا أعطاه حرية الإختيار، فكان للإنسان رغبات وطموحات، تترجم إلى عالم محسوس، ولا تنتقل إلى عالم الحس والوجود العيني إلا بإرادة قوية.
