تجديد الخطاب الديني يقتضي مراجعة دائمة وتساؤل مستمر، وإعادة بناء تصورات فاعلة في علاقتنا بالكون للخروج من هوة السقوط الحضاري، وهذا لن يتحقق دون النظر في طريقة عمل اللغة، فهي حاملة الوحي المقدس، ووسيلتنا الوحيدة في اكتشاف العلاقة بين الله والإنسان والعالم. البداية أن نعترف بوجود مشكلة في الخطاب الديني حتى نفكّر في الحل الذي يبدأ من رصد الإشكاليات التي تعوق انطلاق عمليات التجديد، وأهمها قراءة كتب التراث قراءة انتقائية مرددة غير مناقشة، وترسيخ الأحادية والتعميم والاختزال وتداخل المفاهيم وغياب المنهجية وضعف التوجه العقلي، فلا بديل عن قبول تعددية تخرجنا من حالة المساجلة والمغالبة والإقصاء المستمر لخطابات أخرى حاضرة فينا، وإن زعمنا غيابها أو تغييبها بما يستنزف طاقاتنا، ويضعف من محاولات التعايش بيننا.
