التوريق المصرفي Securitization : هو أداة مالية مستحدثة تفيد قيام مؤسسة مالية بحشد مجموعة من الديون المتجانسة والمضمونة كأصول، ووضعها في صورة دين واحد معزز ائتمانيا، ثم عرضه على الجمهور من خلال منشأة متخصصة للاكتتاب في شكل أوراق مالية، تقليلا للمخاطر، وضمانا للتدفق المستمر للسيولة النقدية للبنك. لذلك يتمثل مصطلح التوريق أو التسنيد في تحويل القروض إلى أوراق مالية قابلة للتداول أي تحويل الديون من المقرض الأساسي إلى مقرضين آخرين. أو بمعنى آخر : فإن التوريق المصرفي عبارة عن تحويل الحقوق المالية التي تمثل مجموعة من الديون عقارية ومنقولة إلى أوراق مالية مضمونة بتلك الديون قابلة للتداول. فهي في الحقيقة بيع للديون لغير من هي عليهم.
