إن هذا الكتاب يحمل عنوان أساسيات في نظرية المجموعات والذي تضمن في فصله الأول مفاهيم أساسية المنطق الرياضي وفي فصله الثاني يحتوي على مفهوم الجمع بإستخدام رمز مجموع Σ ومفهوم رمز الضرب وهو Π الضرب، بينما احتوى الفصل الثالث على أنواع البرهان الرياضي نظراً لما له من أهمية في كيفية إثبات النظريات في المجموعات. واحتوى الفصل الرابع على مفهوم العلاقات والإقترانات واحتوى الفصل الخامس على المفاهيم الأساسية في لغة المجموعات والعمليات عليها وأهم نظرياتها في حين احتوى الفصل السادس على الأعداد الأصلية والأعداد الترتيبية وقد اختيرت مواضيع هذا الكتاب بحيث يؤدي إلى الفهم الجيد لنظرية المجموعات وقواعدها وكذلك تطبيقاتها.
