يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن حياة الإمام أبو حنيفة النعمان ولد الإمام أبو حنيفة بالكوفة سنة 80 من الهجرة النبوية، الموافق لسنة 699 من الميلاد، نشأ أبو حنيفة في بيت من بيوت أهل اليسار والغنى فأبوه وجده كانا تاجرين ويغلب على الظن أن تجارتهما كانت في الخز (وهو نوع من الأقمشة) استقبل أبو حنيفة عهد العباسيين بارتياح فقد رأى اضطهاد الأمويين لبني علي بن أبي طالب وأهل بيت النبي محمد واستمر على ولائه للدولة العباسية لمحبته لآل النبي جميعا.
