يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الأدلة الشرعية حيث أن الأدلة الشرعية من خصائص الشريعة الإسلامية وأنها شريعة مبرهنة أي أن جميع أحكامها قائمة على الدليل الشرعي من الكتاب والسنة وما تفرع عنهما من الإجماع والقياس والأدلة المختلف فيها كالمصالح المرسلة والعرف وسد الذرائع والاستحسان وغير ذلك. وقد ذكر المؤلف في مقدمة كتابه هذا أنه لم يجد كتابا واحدا قد استقصى كل هذه الأدلة خاصة المختلف فيها فمن رأى حجية دليل من هذه الأدلة ذكره في كتابه وترك غيره.
