هذا الكتاب عبارة عن أرجوزة مشروحة وتعد الأثر الأدبي الوحيد المعروف للمؤلف. وهي أرجوزة مخمسة نظم فيها دررا من سيرة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جمعت أصول علم السيرة وما لا ينبغي جهله من سيرة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جاءت على ما يربوا على سبع مئة وخمسين 750 بيتا مقسمة إلى عشرين بابا في ثناياها فصول عدة. ويتخلل الأبيات نكت وفوائد انتقاها الناظم من مصادر السيرة النبوية المتداولة في عصره معتمدا في الأساس على السيرة النبوية لابن إسحاق المتوفى سنة 151 هجريا بتهذيب ابن هشام المتوفى سنة 218 هجريا وشرحها الروض الأنف للسهيلي المتوفى سنة 581 هجريا ودوواين الحديث مثل الصحيحين وسنن الترمذي ومسند البزار ومصنف ابن أبي شيبة.
