مباحث هذا الكتاب تسعى إلى التحاور مع من هو متخصص في علم الحضارات الإنسانية ومع من يرهق ذهنه في حمل هموم عصره على كتفه ومع من قلق على مصير نفسه ومصير مجتمعه بل ومصير حضارته خوفا من الوصول إلى النهاية الحتمية المدونة في اللوح المحفوظ ألا وهي الموت. فحب الفرد للدنيا والحياة المغرية هو الذي يدفعه لأن ينشغل (بالتكاثر حتى زرتم المقابر). وتشبث الفرد الغربي الأوروبي والشرقي، ما عدا طبعا الفرد في العراق الذي لا فرق عنده (ولا سيما بعد الاحتلال الأمريكي لأرضه) بين أن يكون حيا أو ميتا (وهذا ما تنطق به ألسنة الشباب مع الأسف الشديد اليوم).
