مسند أحمد ابن حنبل هو أحد أشهر كتب الحديث النبوي وأوسعها والتي تحتل مكانة متقدمة عند أهل السنة حيث تعتبر من أمهات مصادر الحديث عندهم وهو أشهر المسانيد جعله المحدثون في الدرجة الثالثة بعد الصحيحين والسنن الأربعة وينسب للإمام أبي عبد الله أحمد بن محمد بن حنبل الشيباني الذهلي (164 هـ-241 هـ / 780-855م) يحتوي حسب تقديرات المحدثين على ما يقارب 40 ألف حديث نبوي منها حوالي 10 آلاف مكررة.
