يتناول الكتاب البحث والتفكير في وضعية الكتابة السردية الروائية بالمغرب، والتي تنحو منحى التذويت في علاقة باستحضار ذات المؤلف في التخييل النصي. وذلك من أجل التفكير في وضعية العلاقة بين الواقعي والتخييلي في صناعة النص السردي، وتأثير ذلك في وضعية التعاقد المألوف بين الكتابة والقراءة من جهة، ثم وضعية الأجناس الأدبية من جهة ثانية. إن مجال رؤيتنا في هذا الكتاب لا يتعلق بمنطقة السيرة الذاتية التي يتم حسمها بدون لبس مع تحقيق مبدأ \"المطابقة\" بين المؤلف والسارد والشخصية، ولكن الاشتغال يحدث هنا في هذه الحالة التي تشكل وضعية المؤلف بين ذاته الفاعلة في الواقع، وذاته المتأملة في التخييل.
