يتناول الكتاب شعراء البقاع الغربي بالتعريف وباستعراض أعمالهم الشعرية فالبعض منهم معروف والأخر مجهول من قبل الأوساط الأدبية والشعبية وقد بدأ المؤلف كتابه بمقدمه يتحدث فيها عن الحركة الشعرية في البقاع الغربي يلي ذلك تعريف بكل شاعر وحياته وفنه الشعري ومن بين هذه الشعراء الشيخ أيوب بن أحمد الخلوتي والشيخ محمد بن علي بن محمد بن الحسين الحر العاملي المشغري والشيخ وين العابدين بن الحسن بن علي بن محمد الحر العاملي المشغري والشيخ محمود محمود المشغري والشيخ محمد بن الحسن بن علي بن محمد بن الحسين الحر العاملي المشغري وآخرون حيث بلغ عددهم ما يقارب 40 شاعرا وجميعهم من البقاع الغربي في لبنان.
