المأساة الموريسكية من التنصير إلى التهجير يسرد الدكتور طارق الريسوني، باحث في التاريخ وجراح أسنان، تفاصيل مأساة الموريسكيين في كتابه الموسوم بعنوان \"المأساة الموريسكية من التنصير إلى التهجير\"، المؤلف من 316 صفحة ويبين الفصل الثالث من الكتاب، الذي تطرق فيه الكاتب إلى الحياة الاجتماعية للموريسكيين، أن الدين استعمل أداة أساسية في طرد المسلمين من الأندلس، وذلك بالتنصير بالقوة في غرناطة، بهدف القضاء على كل المظاهر الإسلامية. واستدل المؤلف بما ورد في رسالة للمطران سيسنيروس إلى كنيسة طليطلة بتاريخ 23 دجنبر 1499، عبر فيها عن ابتهاجه بتحول رجال دين مسلمين وأئمة إلى المسيحية، وإقدام مؤذنين على نقل أبواق كانا يناديان فيها للصلاة إلى الكنيسة.
