مسالك الأبصار في ممالك الأمصار طوائف الفقراء-الصوفية في هذا السفر ألقى ابن فضل الله العمري الضوء على نحو عشرة ومائة عالم من علماء التصوف من عهد التابعين إلى من برزوا في عصره في مجال الحياة الروحية في الإسلام، وهو حين يعرض لترجمة شخصية من الشخصيات الصوفية يترجم لها ترجمة دقيقة ذاكرا المصدر الذي نقل عنه في ترجمته، ويعتمد كثيرا على المصادر التي تناولت تراجم الصوفية مثل «الرسالة القشيرية»، وكذلك يأخذ عمن عايشهم من الصوفية المعاصرين له.
