يتناول الكتاب حيث يعالج موضوع الإمامة العظمى الذي يعتبر من المواضيع الضرورية في الاجتماع الإنساني، فهي ترعى توازنه وتحفظ تناسقه وتعمل على تقريب الفوارق المختلفة بين وحداته المتعددة بشتى صورها وأشكالها. وقد أفرد العلماء هذا الموضوع بالتأليف فبينوا فيه أحكام الإمامة وما يتعلق بها من مباحث في مؤلفات ومصنفات، سميت بالأحكام السلطانية، أو بفقه السياسة الشرعية. ومن أهم هذه التآليف، رسالة الأجوبة الحسان في الخليفة والسلطان، التي حوت على وجازتها أهم مباحث هذا الفن، وضمت إليه فوائد عظيمة وبديعة، جادت بها براعة الإمام العلامة عبد القادر الفاسي رحمه الله.
