الكتاب يقدم معلومات أساسية ولا يختص بمرحلة دراسية معينة، ويشمل طرق بناء الجمل من التراكيب البسيطة حتى المعقدة بأسلوب ميسّر وواضح ومن الملاحظ أن تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية في البلدان العربية يفتقد التركيز على تراكيب الجمل، فهو يركز على حفظ الكلمات ومن ثم تطبيق قواعد معينة يتم تدريسها بشكل منفصل، لكن ما الفائدة لو أننا عرفنا الكثير من كلمات اللغة ومفرداتها، وفي الوقت نفسه نكون غير قادرين على توظيفها بالشكل المناسب أو الأنسب في تركيب وإنشاء الجمل.
