قسمت هذه الدراسة إلى تسعة مباحث وقد خصص المبحث الأول منها لنبذة عن أمن المعلومات عند الأمم القديمة، وتحدث الثاني عن رواد دراسات أمن المعلومات في الحضارة الإسلامية، وجاء المبحث الثالث ليبرز عوامل تطور أمن المعلومات في الحضارة الإسلامية، وأفرد المبحث الرابع لأمن المعلومات وكتمان الأسرار على ضوء الإسلام، أما المبحث الخامس فتناول الإجراءات الوقائية العامة لمنع تسرب المعلومات.
