ثم كانت المرحلة الثانية، وهي المرحلة التي دخلت تجربته في إطار الحداثة الفنية، في المرحلة الثالثة، كما يصف الناقد طارق الشريف تجربة الفنان نذير نبعة؛ فإنه وبعد العودة من باريس أصبح الإنسان يعيش ضمن اللوحة التي يرسمها في عالم متكامل يحيط به العنصر الحيواني من الطيور أو القواقع، وهي لا تقل أهمية عن الإنسان في اللوحة أو عن الفوضى التي تحيط به أحيانا ذلك لأن الفوضى التي تغلب النظام تعبر عن حالة تراجيدية يسعى للتعبير عنها.... إلخ
