هاملت مسرحية ألفها الإنجليزي شكسبير عن قصة الأمير هاملت الدانماركي، تدور أحداث المسرحية حول هاملت الشاب الذي يعاني من سلوك أمه التي تزوجت من عمه بعد شهر واحد من وفاة والده، وعندما يظهر شبح الأب لهاملت ويخبره أنه قتل على يد عمه يبدأ هاملت في التحضير للانتقام من قاتل والده، ويحاول ادعاء الجنون ليخفي نواياه التي أفشى بها لصديقه هوارشيو، بينما يقوم كلوديوس عم هاملت بالتجسس عليه عن طريق صديقين للأمير الشاب، ولكنه سرعان ما يكتشف الأمر ويستمر في ادعائه الجنون أمامهما. على الجانب الآخر يتسبب هاملت في مقتل والد أوفيليا، وهي الفتاة التي تجمعه معها قصة حب دمرتها وساوسه تجاه النساء، ويرسله عمه إلى إنجلترا مع الترتيب لإعدامه عند وصوله، ولكنه يستطيع النجاة من ذلك التدبير والعودة للدانمارك ليجد لارتيس أخو أوفيليا يسعى للانتقام منه بسبب قتل والده، وتدور مبارزة في نهاية المسرحية يموت على إثرها لارتيس، وهاملت، وعمه.
