إن هذا الكتاب الذي تقرأ عنه الآن، جاء ليساهم في توضيح بعض الغموض وإجابة لبعض التساؤلات التي رافقت الهجوم الأمريكي المصحوب بالغزو والاحتلال وكذلك سردا موجزا عن الحالة التي سبقت الحرب، مواقف بعض الدول المهمة، لجعل الصورة أوضح، كما حاول تكوين إجابة قريبة من الواقع عن أهم التساؤلات التي برزت في ليلة بغداد المظلمة، بل السوداء يوم 9 نيسان / إبريل 2003 ... وذلك بالاعتماد على روايات شهود عيان أو قريبين من موقع الحدث ... وقصة الخيانة ومعركة المطار والإختراقات التي حصلت من محاور الدورة-هرو رجب-وطريق جسر ديالي-أي محاور جنوب وجنوب شرق بغداد إضافة إلى مصادر أجنبية وعربية.
