خلصت الدراسة إلى أن ضعف رقابة الأسرية على الأبناء من أبرز الأسباب التي تدفع إلى ارتكاب الجرائم الإلكترونية يليها التأثر السلبي بوسائل الإعلام واحتلت تحقيق الكسب المادي المرتبة الأخيرة، وأكدت الدراسة أن نسبة 32,5 % من أفراد العينة (200 فرد) تعرضوا لرسائل تخدش الحياء العام عبر الإنترنت بينما تعرض 11 % كثيرا لرسائل فاضحة وأن نشر الصور الخليعة من أكثر الجرائم الإلكترونية المتعلقة بالآداب العامة انتشارا وبنسبة 27 % يليها نشر مقاطع الفيديو الإباحية بنسبة 22,5 %، إضافة إلى تشويه سمعة الأبرياء والسب والإبتزاز وتدنت نسبة التهديد عبر شبكة الإنترنت إلى 4.7 %.
