أصدر اتحاد كتاب وأدباء الإمارات، بالتعاون مع وزارة الثقافة وتنمية المعرفة، كتابا للدكتور حمد بن صراي يحمل عنوان «أحمد راشد ثاني بين التاريخ والتراث رؤية نقدية»، يتضمن الكتاب دراسات متفرقة حول ما كتبه الراحل أحمد راشد ثاني في التاريخ والتراث بعضها منشور، وبعضها حبيس الحاسوب، إذ ترك الراحل نتاجا متميزا في كتب مطبوعة ومخطوطة عدة، ويشير الدكتور حمد بن صراي في مقدمة كتابه، إلى أن توثيق الثقافة الشعبية كان مطلبا ملحا عند أحمد راشد ثاني، ولهذا نالت منه الحكاية الشعبية نصيبا وافرا جمعه في ثلاثة إصدارات، فاهتم بها جمعا وضبطا وشرحا وتوثيقا، وتطرق إلى فكر الراحل التاريخي والتراثي عبر هذه المصنفات الثلاثة.
