مذكرات وشهادات للراحل ويتمان الذي عاش في الشارقة من العام 1964 إلى العام 1968 وعمل مهندسا وكانت له ذكريات وانطباعات تتصل بالزمان والمكان وامتدت لتشمل الإنسان وكذلك مشاهد من لقاءاته مع حاكم الشارقة آنذاك في المناسبات المختلفة أو لقاءات عمل من أجل مشاريع بناء لطرق أو جسور أو رصيف ميناء الشارقة. الكتاب تولت إعداده بترا كروسل ابنة الراحل ويتمان، والتي عاشت وأسرتها تلك الفترة في الشارقة، ثم عادت في بداية الثمانينيات من القرن الفائت إلى الشارقة وارتبطت حتى اللحظة بها. الكتاب يتضمن توثيقا بالصور لبعض المشاهدات في المكان في تلك الفترة إضافة لاحتوائه على جزء من التاريخ المشهدي لفترة ما قبل التحولات وبه نظرة صادقة للعلاقات التي كانت سائدة في ذلك الوقت.
