يقع الديوان في مجلد من القطع المتوسط، ويحمل بين طياته معلومات وسير ذاتية وقصائد لكوكبة متألقة من قدماء فرسان الشعر على أرض الإمارات الخصبة بعطائها، حيث يضم الجزء الأول قصائد لاثني عشر شاعرا مرموقا : هم الشاعر ابن ظاهر الماجدي، على بن محمد محين الشامسي، أحمد بن عبد الله بن صالح بن سبت، يعقوب بن يوسف الحاتمي، خلفان بن على بن غيث، الشيخ بطي بن سهيل، الشيخ صقر بن خالد القاسمي، حمد بن سرحان، أحمد بن عبد الرحمن أبو سنيده، سعيد بن عتيق الهاملي، مبارك بن حمد العقيلي، والشيخ محمد بن شيخان العماني، الجزء الثاني من ديوان \"تراثنا من الشعر الشعبي\"، نقدمه ترانيم أطيار وشذى أزهار وعصارة أفكار ترجمتها المشاعر لأكثر من ثمانين شاعرا، فكونت من وإرفتاها الظليلة حديقة غناء جميلة يستظل بها المتعبون ويستنشق طيب رياها المتيمون، فأنى التفتوا قرت به عيونهم وابتهجت له نفوسهم.
