هذا الكتاب صفحات مضيئة من حياة قائد عسكري لم يعرف إلا الحق فكان ناصرا له ؛ فعندما قامت ثورة 23 يوليو 1952 كان ضابطا برتبة \"صاغ\" في الحرس الملكي، وكان والده قائدا للحرس الملكي، وعندما رحل الملك فاروق خارج البلاد قدم نفسه لقادة الثورة ليضع نفسه تحت أمر مصر وقيادتها الجديدة .. وتدرج في المناصب حتى صار وزيرا للحربية.
