هو كتاب في آداب الحسبة تناول فيه السقطي، مجموعة من الضوابط والقواعد التي لها صلة بالحسبة قال السقطي في مقدمته تحصل في فهمي، وتقرر في الحقيقة علمي، من أخبار مفسدي الباعة والصناع بالأسواق وغشهم في الكيل والميزان وبخسهم واستعمالهم الخدع للناس في معاملتهم، والتلبيس عليهم في مداخلتهم وملابستهم، وإحراز الحسبة وتقلد النظر في أمورهم من لا يحسن لذلك تناولا، ولا يعرف من الحلال والحرام مفصلا ومجملا، ما لم يسعني معه إلا التنبيه على مكرهم، والقول بالمعروف في ذكرهم.
