هذا الكتاب عبارة عن لقاء بين المعلمين والفنانين المسرحيين، استمر يومين. وقد نظم من قبل إدارة المسرح والعروض في وزارة الثقافة الفرنسية. الهدف منه إلقاء نظرة تأملية حول كتاب (الفضاء الخالي) لبيتر بروك المسجل في البرنامج الدراسي للبكلوريا. وقد قام المسرحي العراقي محمد سيف بتقديم وترجمة هذا الكتاب، كجزء من همه وانشغاله بالمسرح سواء كان ذلك عمليا أو نظريا. لقد حاول محمد سيف أن يعيد هذا الدرس المسرحي لبيتر بروك من خلال كتابة مقدمة طويلة دارسا ومحللا فيها كتاب (الفضاء الخالي) الذي يدور حوله كتاب (الضجر هو الشيطان)، حيث استطاع أن يبتهج بفكرة مازالت تعيش حركة مستمرة. لقد حاول محمد سيف، وبكل بساطة، أن يحافظ على طابعها واندفاعها الحيوي، باحترامه تسلسل وإيقاع هذا اللقاء، وترقيم التمارين الصغيرة، وأسئلة المشتركين، وبعض الاستراحات.
